Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a IT Desktop Patching Specialist  for a contract opening with one of our largest clients!

This is a Contract Opportunity with our company that MUST be worked on a W2 ONLY, NO visa sponsorship or C2C eligibility for this position.  The details are below.

Job Title: IT Desktop Patching Specialist 
Contract: 6 Months 
Location: REMOTE 

Job/Role Description:

The IT Desktop Patching Specialist is responsible for the timely and efficient deployment of security patches and updates to desktop systems across the enterprise. This role emphasizes hands-on execution and problem-solving to maintain a secure and stable desktop environment.

• Patching & Updates: Execute scheduled patch deployments and updates for Windows and macOS desktops using enterprise tools.
• Testing & Troubleshooting: Test patches for compatibility and troubleshoot any issues post-deployment to minimize disruptions.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Track patch status, system health, and compliance, and report on progress to the IT Operations team.
• Incident Support: Provide support for patch-related incidents and escalate issues as needed.
• Automation: Utilize basic scripting to automate routine patching tasks and improve efficiency.

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 2-5 years in desktop support or patch management roles.
• Familiarity with patch management tools (e.g., SCCM, Ivanti).
• Knowledge of Windows and macOS desktop environments.
• Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell).
•  Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  Working Conditions:
  • May require occasional off-hours work for patch deployment
