Job Overview
The Cisco Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of complex data network solutions. This role requires in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and expertise in Cisco products. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining a reliable and efficient network infrastructure while collaborating across IT teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Implementation: Plan, design, test, and implement enterprise network solutions.
- Configuration: Configure Cisco IOS, test, and integrate new network hardware devices (routers and switches) into existing infrastructure.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate diagrams and configurations for all network devices.
- Engineering Packages: Prepare detailed engineering job packages, including parts/equipment lists and supporting documentation (e.g., drawings, diagrams, configurations).
- Cost Efficiency: Ensure cost-effective design of systems to meet business needs and provide reliable services.
- Cost Estimates: Prepare and submit cost estimates for planned installations as required.
- Technology Awareness: Stay current with networking technologies and available facilities.
- Circuit Management: Procure, activate, and troubleshoot private and public WAN circuits.
- Collaboration: Work across IT teams to provide comprehensive network solutions.
Minimum Qualifications

Experience:
- 5–7 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years focused on designing and supporting Cisco Systems products.
- Strong understanding of communication technology fundamentals.
