Job Title: Full Stack Developer
Location: , Riverwoods, IL
Pay:  $55.50 - 62.50/hr - W2 ONLY
Employment Type: Contract - 12+ Months

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our Agile team, responsible for taking user stories and new features from concept to production without supervision. The role requires a hands-on developer with leadership capabilities, actively managing risks and addressing customer-impacting issues as they arise. The ideal candidate should possess strong development skills in JavaScript, React, and Java, with an understanding of modern DevOps practices and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of user stories and new features, taking them from idea to production in an Agile environment.
  • Actively manage and escalate risks and issues that may impact the customer.
  • Contribute to the overall technical leadership of the Agile team.
  • Develop APIs in a cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Utilize modern DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, JFrog, and Nexus for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
  • Implement event-driven systems with technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ (Preferred).
  • Ensure the performance and observability of applications using tools like Gatling, JMeter, and other monitoring systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with JavaScript.
  • 2+ years of experience with React and React Native.
  • 3+ years of experience with Java, SpringBoot, and REST API development.
  • Experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes (Preferred) or OpenShift (OCP).
  • Proficiency with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or Oracle).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of event systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ (Preferred).
  • Experience with performance monitoring and observability tooling (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
  • Exposure to modern DevOps practices and tools (GitHub, Jenkins, JFrog, Nexus).
  • Experience in Agile development environments and exposure to Extreme Programming (XP) practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA Cloud.
  • Knowledge of Oracle databases.
  • Familiarity with modern cloud-native infrastructures and development practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Leadership experience in guiding Agile teams.
