Assistant General Manager / Lead HVAC Technician

Location: West Chester, PA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $60,000–$80,000+, depending on experience
Additional Compensation: Commission opportunities + potential profit sharing

About the Opportunity

We are a locally owned and operated HVAC company in West Chester, PA, focused on building a strong reputation through quality work, honest service, and treating customers the way we would want to be treated in our own homes. 

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager / Lead HVAC Technician who wants the opportunity to help build and grow an HVAC operation from the ground up.

This is not a desk-only management position. The ideal candidate is an experienced HVAC leader who is comfortable managing day-to-day operations while remaining hands-on in the field. You will perform service calls, installations, system estimates, and help lead technicians while working directly with ownership to grow the business.

What You'll Do

• Oversee day-to-day HVAC operations and workflow.
• Serve as the lead technician and help manage at least one service technician.
• Diagnose, service, repair, and install residential HVAC systems.
• Perform new system evaluations and provide estimates.
• Help attract and retain new customers while building the company's reputation throughout the West Chester area.
• Help develop and optimize ServiceTitan and internal operational processes.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Drive growth in service calls, maintenance agreements, and system installations.
• Manage job costing, budgeting, and financial performance.
• Help ownership monitor profitability and overall P&L performance.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and workmanship.

The client specifically identified operational leadership, field work, financial management, and leading technicians as the position's primary responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of HVAC service management experience.
• Strong hands-on HVAC service and installation experience.
• Proven history of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
• Understanding of job costing, budgeting, and P&L management.
• Experience managing and developing HVAC technicians.
• Ability and willingness to remain active in the field.
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Hard-working, driven, honest, and interested in helping grow a company.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ServiceTitan experience.
• NATE certification.
• ICC exam certificate.
• Existing vendor or customer relationships in the western Philadelphia suburbs.
• Experience helping grow a residential home-services/HVAC operation. 

Compensation & Benefits

• Expected total compensation: $60,000–$80,000, depending on experience and market value.
