Residential HVAC Service Technician – $80K–$100K+ | Sign-On Bonus

Are you an experienced HVAC Service Technician looking for more than just another service job?

We’re building our Greater Hartford operation and looking for a skilled Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our growing field team. This is an opportunity to get in early, help shape service standards, work for a company that values quality over high-pressure sales, and position yourself for future leadership.

Expected First-Year Earnings: $80,000–$100,000+
Signing Bonus: $2,000–$3,500 for qualified applicants

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems

• Service furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, controls, and related equipment

• Perform electrical, mechanical, airflow, and refrigeration troubleshooting

• Complete maintenance visits and full system evaluations

• Explain findings and repair options clearly to homeowners

• Educate customers and present solutions without high-pressure sales tactics

• Complete professional repairs and verify proper system performance

• Document findings, recommendations, and completed work accurately

• Maintain a clean and professional company vehicle

• Help establish and improve service standards

• Support and mentor apprentices and developing technicians

• Deliver an outstanding customer experience on every call

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Active Connecticut S-2 Unlimited Heating, Piping & Cooling Journeyperson License

• EPA Section 608 certification

• Strong residential HVAC service and diagnostic experience

• Excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Experience with furnaces, AC systems, heat pumps, controls, airflow, and refrigeration

• Strong communication and customer-service skills

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Highly Valued:

• EPA Universal certification

• NATE certification

• OSHA training

• ServiceTitan experience

• Cold-climate heat pump experience

• Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians

• Leadership experience or interest in moving into leadership
