Job Description
Residential HVAC Installer (Service Experience Preferred)
Tempe, AZ
~$70K base + 5% install commission + full benefits
About the Role
We’re looking for a Residential HVAC Installer who takes pride in clean, quality installs and shows up ready to do the job right — not just get it done.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident in installs but also understands the “why” behind the system. Someone who can think through issues, communicate well with homeowners, and step in to help wherever needed.
You’ll be working as part of a team, but also expected to carry your weight and take ownership of your installs from start to finish. The right person here doesn’t cut corners, doesn’t pass problems off, and represents the company well in every home.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Install residential HVAC systems (furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, ductwork)
- Ensure installs are clean, code-compliant, and built to last
- Perform system startups, testing, and basic troubleshooting
- Communicate clearly with homeowners on system use and expectations
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and professional
- Work alongside team members to complete jobs efficiently
- Assist with light service or diagnostics when needed
What You’ll Get
- $70K base salary + 5% commission on installs
- Consistent, year-round work
- Opportunity to grow into more advanced roles
- Supportive team environment
- Company that values quality over rushing jobs
What We’re Looking For
- 3–4+ years residential HVAC install experience
- Some service or diagnostic experience (preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Comfortable communicating with homeowners
- Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed
- Clean driving record
- EPA Certification (preferred)
What Makes Someone Successful Here
- Takes ownership of their installs — from setup to final walkthrough
- Pays attention to details others overlook
- Willing to learn and improve, not just rely on past experience
- Helps the team instead of waiting to be told what to do
- Communicates clearly with both customers and coworkers
- Leaves every job better than they found it
