Commercial HVAC Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our Facilities team. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting directly to the Director of Facility Maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration units
• Troubleshoot system issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
• Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation of work performed
• Respond to emergency service calls as part of an on-call rotation
• Utilize industry-standard tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with leadership

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial HVAC environment
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required
• Experience with Controls/BAS systems preferred
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC tools and equipment
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to operate power tools such as drills, saws, and other equipment
• Ability to bend, climb, and work in confined spaces
• Comfortable working in environments with heat, cold, moisture, noise, and light chemical exposure

Work Schedule

• Full-time position
• Participation in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance services
