Job Description

Experienced Diesel Mechanic – Full-Service Shop

This role requires someone who can work independently and efficiently, taking full responsibility for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems. The ideal candidate will be the go-to expert for all diesel-related issues and must be capable of working without direct supervision.

Schedule is Monday-Thursday 7:30am to 6:00pm, three-day weekends! (4 ten-hour shifts)

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience working on diesel engines
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of safety practices and compliance standards
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines in vehicles and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and brake inspections
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Conduct inspections and test drives to ensure repairs are successful and safe
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used
  • Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized
  • Communicate clearly with customers or staff about repair timelines and issues found.
  • Order necessary parts and supplies when needed
  • Fast paced automotive shop
  • Capable of lifting up 50lbs without assistance
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 60 minutes at a time)
  • Basic math and counting skills for performing repair estimates and parts ordering
  • Proficient in performing both fine and major motor skills to complete repairs, vehicle inspections, and shop duties, including reaching overhead, bending, stooping, and other physical tasks

What You’ll Need:

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and physical
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Technical certification or associate degree in diesel technology or related field.
  • ASE certifications in diesel repair (a plus, not required).
  • CDL license (a plus, not required).
