Master of Towing Vessels

Join Our Elite Marine Construction Fleet!

We're hiring an experienced Master of Towing Vessels to lead safe, efficient operations on our self-propelled tugboats, supporting high-impact heavy civil and marine projects across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

  • Command tugboat operations, including navigation, towing/pushing barges, anchoring, docking/undocking, and deck machinery use
  • Ensure vessel and equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and crew training/direct supervision
  • Manage deckhand tasks, repairs, supply requisitions, and live-aboard/non-live-aboard rotations
  • Assess tides, currents, weather, and hazards for risk-free voyages

Requirements

  • Valid USCG MMC with Master of Towing Vessels endorsement (Radar Observer required)
  • 3+ years towing vessel experience in restricted channels
  • Strong expertise in tow winches, rigging, lines, charts, and navigational aids
  • Valid Medical Card and TWIC

Preferred

  • Marine construction background
  • Able Seaman credential
