We’re looking for a Michigan Licensed HVAC/Plumbing Inspector to join our collaborative, people-focused team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our communities safe and thriving, while working alongside supportive colleagues who value teamwork and professional growth.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide plan review and inspection services that promote health, safety, and customer satisfaction.

• Partner with other inspectors, plan reviewers, and administrative staff in a positive, team-oriented environment.

• Assist Project Directors and Managers in improving inspection and review processes.

• Conduct field inspections throughout various stages of construction.

• Review plans and specifications for commercial, industrial, and residential projects to ensure compliance with city, state, and federal codes.

• Perform Rental Housing inspections in line with municipal ordinances and regulations.

• Report findings, maintain accurate records, and help streamline communication.

• Build strong relationships with clients to increase awareness of our services and commitment to excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

• Licensed to enforce the State of Michigan Building Code and registered as a code official with the Michigan Department of Labor, Bureau of Construction Codes (Act 407).

• Experience with BS&A software (or willingness to learn quickly).

• Additional professional certifications are a plus!

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and work respectfully as part of a team under the guidance of Project Directors and Managers.
