Compensation: $38.00 – $44.00 per hour (based on experience and license status)

Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive hourly wage ranging from $38 to $44 per hour, depending on experience and possession of the required licenses (Master Plumber, Master Oil Burner, and Master Gas/Appliance licenses).
Overtime available at 1.5x the hourly rate for any hours worked beyond 40 per week.
Opportunity for a performance-based pay review at 6 months.

We are seeking an experienced and licensed Senior Plumbing & Heating Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, installing, servicing, and signing off on plumbing, heating, and gas systems for residential and select commercial projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive field knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead or work independently on job sites.
System Design & Planning: Create and review blueprints and system layouts for plumbing, heating, and gas systems, ensuring efficiency and code compliance.
Installation & Repairs: Perform and oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping, fixtures, appliances, oil burners, boilers, and gas systems.
Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise team members as needed; train and guide junior staff to uphold safety and quality standards.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to plumbing, heating, or gas systems in a timely and effective manner.
Compliance & Safety: Interpret and enforce all applicable local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
System Testing & Optimization: Perform safety checks and combustion efficiency tests; adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Gas System Expertise: Install, connect, and maintain propane and natural gas appliances; develop system layouts and ensure proper configuration and sizing.
Oil-Burning Equipment Expertise: Install and maintain oil burners, boilers, and related heating systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Site Inspections: Conduct thorough safety inspections to ensure systems are leak-free, ventilated properly, and operating to standard.
Active Master Plumber License (required)
Active Master Oil Burner License (required)
Active Master Gas/Appliance License (required)
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on plumbing and heating experience, including both residential and light commercial work
Strong knowledge of building codes, safety protocols, and best practices
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required for vehicle use)
Regularly lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 lbs
Work in various positions including standing, kneeling, bending, climbing ladders, or working on rooftops and in crawlspaces
Comfortable in diverse environments: tight spaces, attics, outdoor elements (rain, heat, cold), and noisy or dusty job sites
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools and components
Ability to work at heights over 20 feet using ladders or lifts
Visual and auditory awareness to identify hazards, interpret blueprints, and follow safety protocols
Must be able to wear and utilize appropriate PPE (gloves, safety glasses, harnesses, etc.)
