Journeyman Transmission Lineman

Location: Watkinsville, GA (Primarily out-of-town)
Salary: $50–$55/hour + per diem
Schedule: Mon–Thu, 10-hour days; occasional Fri/weekends

Position Summary

Join a dynamic team as a Journeyman Transmission Lineman with specialized expertise in transmission line work. Construct, maintain, and repair de-energized overhead transmission lines, lead crews, and ensure safety and quality on critical projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct, maintain, and repair de-energized overhead transmission lines.

  • Lead crew in Foreman’s absence and string overhead wire.

  • Operate cranes, man lifts, bucket trucks, and specialized tools.

  • Strictly adhere to safety rules and policies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recent transmission line experience (required).

  • Valid CDL and proficiency in English communication.

  • Ability to travel and work extended periods at various locations.

  • Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and inspecting PPE/rubber goods.

  • Self-motivated with comprehensive transmission line knowledge.

  • Available for overtime as needed.
