Job Description

RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Discipline Manager in Remote. This is a full-time direct-hire Remote assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation and holidays.

Overview of YOUR role as an Engineering Discipline Manager

As a Discipline Manager, you will manage key client natural gas projects and serve as the primary internal and external contact for project work of varying sizes. You will coordinate and oversee project execution, interact with clients to grow the project base, and provide leadership to your direct reports. This role requires an experienced professional who can balance people management, project delivery, client relationships, and resource planning to meet company and client expectations.

As an Engineering Discipline Manager YOU will:

· Provide people leadership including performance feedback, training coordination, mentoring, and career development
· Ensure quality completion of assigned projects and conduct quality audits
· Provide technical guidance and serve as a resource for invoicing and project questions
· Coordinate resource allocation and utilization across projects
· Track and report on utilization, allowable vs. actual hours, and project performance
· Manage budgetary objectives and track individual KPIs
· Conduct regular check-ins with clients to ensure excellent customer service
· Organically grow project base with existing and new clients
· Identify resource needs and plan team composition for projects
· Oversee contract review, approval, and coordination
· Provide project guidance and drive efficiency and quality

YOU are the ideal Engineering Discipline Manager candidate if you have:

· Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
· Proven experience managing natural gas projects and technical teams
· Strong people leadership and mentoring capabilities
· Project management experience with budget and resource oversight
· Client relationship management and business development experience
· Experience with project invoicing, resource planning, and performance tracking
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently in a remote environment
· Understanding of engineering/drafting disciplines and PMO functions

It's a BONUS if you have:

· Experience in natural gas infrastructure design or engineering
· Background in managing multiple concurrent projects
· Experience with contract management and negotiation
· Proficiency with project tracking and reporting systems
