RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Sr Engineer - Nuclear Power in Remote (with 10-15% travel required). This is a full-time direct-hire Remote assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation and holidays.

Overview of YOUR role as a Sr Engineer - Nuclear Power
As a key member of our client's Power Plant Engineering Team, you will serve as the subject matter expert and company resource for nuclear steam turbine consulting projects. You'll be responsible for preparing for client meetings and leading discussions, demonstrating your technical expertise in turbine and generator engineering to execute projects independently. You'll also mentor younger team members and drive technical excellence across the team. Additionally, you'll assist management with business opportunities, conferences, and training sessions, and interface with industry organizations. With a travel requirement of up to 10-15% for site visits, client meetings, and conferences, this role offers a dynamic and engaging opportunity to make a significant impact on the business side of the industry.

As a Sr Engineer - Nuclear Power YOU will:
· Serve as the subject matter expert and company resource for nuclear steam turbine consulting projects
· Prepare for client meetings and lead technical discussions demonstrating expertise in turbine and generator engineering
· Execute projects independently with minimal supervision
· Conduct engineering calculations, assessments, and analyses related to nuclear power systems
· Mentor younger team members and drive technical excellence across the team
· Assist management with business opportunities, conferences, and training sessions
· Interface with industry organizations and maintain professional relationships
· Travel 10-15% for site visits, client meetings, and conferences
· Provide technical guidance and recommendations on turbine design and operations
· Support business development initiatives and client acquisition
· Develop and deliver technical presentations and training materials
· Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices

YOU are the ideal Sr Engineer - Nuclear Power candidate if you have:
· Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering (required)
· 10+ years of demonstrated experience in power generation engineering at OEM's and/or utilities (required)
· 5+ years in comparable nuclear industry positions: Turbine Engineer, Design Engineer, Equipment/Plant Subject Matter Expert, Senior Reactor Operator (required)
· Proficiency in relevant engineering, calculations, assessments, and analyses
· Willingness to travel 10-15% as required to support projects and business development initiatives
· Strong technical expertise in turbine and generator engineering
· Ability to lead technical discussions and client meetings
· Demonstrated mentoring and leadership capabilities
· Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
· Familiarity with nuclear industry and power generation systems

It's a BONUS if you have:
· Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
· Advanced degree in Engineering or related field
· Vibration analysis capabilities/certification
· 5+ years of experience as Site Turbine Engineer
· Familiarity with nuclear plant administrative processes
· Familiarity with nuclear modification and design processes
· Experience with turbine design including valves, rotors, blading, and stationaries
· Turbine operating experience
· TapRooT root cause analysis qualification
· Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) certification
· Experience interfacing with regulatory bodies and industry organizations
