RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Senior Project Manager in Duluth, GA. This is a full-time direct-hire Hybrid Remote assignment with our client (in office 3 days a week in Atlanta). This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation and holidays.

Overview of YOUR role as a Senior Project Manager

Our client is expanding its already well-developed GDOT project work in Atlanta, GA. The goal for this position is to identify an established Senior Project Manager to serve as a technical excellence leader in the Atlanta area office. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading the management and design of transportation projects in the Atlanta area for GDOT, County DOTs, and municipal clients. This role requires extensive GDOT experience and in-depth knowledge of GDOT design standards, policies, and the PDP Process.

As a Senior Project Manager YOU will:

· Oversee all design activities on highway projects in adherence with the contract scope and schedule
· Monitor labor budgets and schedules for assigned tasks/projects
· Coordinate with discipline key task leaders and staff to ensure ongoing communications
· Meet project deliverable schedules and budgets for assigned projects
· Support marketing and business development initiatives including identification of key target clients and projects
· Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key target clients
· Support the identification of key client RFPs and development of proposals in response to strategic client pursuits
· Lead procurement activities including scope and fee development and negotiations with clients
· Work collaboratively with the client to ensure the design team and subconsultants deliver detailed design documents for preliminary, right-of-way, and construction plans
· Oversee the developmental training and mentorship of the next generation of project managers
· Work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously
· Travel occasionally up to 25% for visits to client office locations and project sites

YOU are the ideal Senior Project Manager candidate if you have:

· B.S. degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program
· 10+ years' experience in transportation or civil engineering with demonstrated experience in roadway and/or highway engineering
· Technical background and experience that demonstrates the ability to serve as a Project Manager role on transportation projects with GDOT, County DOTs and Municipal DOT agencies across Georgia (required)
· Extensive experience in the GDOT PDP Process and GDOT design standards and policies (required)
· Georgia PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months (required)
· GSWCC Level II Designer Certification (required)
· GDOT PDP Certification or ability to obtain (required)
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative team building skills
· Ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously
· Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required)

It's a BONUS if you have:

· Demonstrative experience in GDOT procurement processes
· Familiarity with Microsoft products
· Experience with CAD particularly MicroStation and OpenRoads
· Business development and proposal development experience
· Mentorship or training experience
