Job Description

RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Locator Technician in Sedalia, MO 65301. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire, field-based assignment with our client. 

Overview of YOUR role as a Locator Technician

As a Locator Technician YOU will:

• Identify and mark the location of underground utilities such as gas and electric lines using maps, blueprints, and advanced equipment (e.g., electronic locators and radar).

• Document all site information and interactions in internal software and maintain detailed Daily Progress Reports.

• Communicate regularly with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and clarity.

• Post informational door tags to notify residents of upcoming inspection procedures.

• Follow company procedures and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.

YOU are the ideal Locator Technician candidate if you have:

• A high school diploma or GED.

• At least 6 months of locator experience

• A valid driver's license for fieldwork and site visits.

• Willingness to travel.

• Ability to pass a DOT-compliant drug screening.

It’s a BONUS if you have:

• Prior field or utility locator experience.
