RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Senior Highway Project Manager in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time direct-hire hybrid or remote assignment with our client. 

Overview of YOUR role as a Senior Highway Project Manager

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Highway Project Manager to lead and deliver complex transportation infrastructure projects in Illinois. This individual will be responsible for managing highway and roadway design projects from planning through construction, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, and representing the firm in client and industry engagements.

As a Senior Highway Project Manager YOU will:

• Plan, manage, and lead a variety of transportation projects, from local roadways to complex highway and interchange corridors

• Oversee project schedules, budgets, scope, and quality control to ensure successful, on-time, and within-budget delivery

• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure multi-disciplinary collaboration

• Participate in business development activities including strategy development, proposal preparation, interviews, and fee negotiations

• Serve as the primary client liaison, building and maintaining strong client relationships

• Represent the company at public meetings, conferences, and industry events

YOU are the ideal Senior Highway Project Manager candidate if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from an accredited university

• Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) license

• At least 15 years of experience managing and designing transportation projects in Illinois

• Proven success as a Project Manager on Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) projects

• Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills

• Ability to work independently and lead multi-disciplinary project teams

It’s a BONUS if you have:

• Experience working with the Illinois Tollway, county DOTs, or local government agencies

• Experience with alternative delivery projects (e.g., design-build, CMGC)
