Job Description

ProspectBlue has partnered with a reputable company in Richmond, VA and is seeking an experienced full-time Senior Environmental Project Manager to manage federal HTRW environmental projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental consulting, project management, and CERCLA/RCRA. This role requires excellent leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position is a remote position where the employee can work remotely with occasional travel to our Richmond, VA or Charleston, SC offices, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks.

Core Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage CERCLA projects from initiation (e.g., PA/SI) to completion (e.g., RA-C), ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with federal government clients, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Prepare technical reports, work plans, and other project documentation.
  • Oversee field activities, including environmental sampling, monitoring, and remediation efforts.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed on all project sites.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil, Chemical, Geology, or Environmental Science degree.
  • Project Management Professional, Licensed Professional Geologist, or Professional Engineer preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience with USACE and other DoD agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of CERCLA/RCRA environmental requirements and regulations.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale environmental projects for the federal government.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel as required for project needs.
  • Excellent writing skills
