ProspectBlue is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Project Manager to lead the successful execution of commercial interiors projects. This is an in office position in Richmond, VA. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of office furnishings projects, ensuring seamless coordination between clients, sales teams, installers, vendors, and general contractors with a commitment to “Flawless Execution.”
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively across multiple stakeholders, and has experience managing commercial furniture or workplace solutions projects from order through installation and closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead and manage commercial furnishings projects from kickoff through final completion
Develop and maintain detailed project implementation schedules, milestones, and checklists
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to scope
Identify and proactively resolve project risks, delays, or conflicts
Coordination & Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, sales representatives, operations teams, installers, and general contractors
Facilitate clear communication among all project stakeholders
Coordinate site readiness, delivery schedules, installation timelines, and project updates
Attend project meetings and site visits as needed
Logistics & Labor Management:
Estimate labor requirements and prepare installation quotations
Schedule installation crews and coordinate manpower needs
Manage delivery logistics and coordinate with outsourced installation and delivery partners
Monitor installation progress to ensure quality and efficiency
Financial Oversight:
Create and maintain project budgets
Process and manage change orders
Track project costs and variances through project closeout
Assist with invoicing accuracy and financial reconciliation
Customer Service:
Ensure a positive client experience throughout the project lifecycle
Manage punch lists and resolve open issues promptly
Maintain high standards of responsiveness, professionalism, and follow-through
Support long-term client relationships through exceptional service delivery
Reporting & Administration:
Maintain accurate project files, schedules, timesheets, and documentation within internal systems
Provide regular project status updates and reporting
Ensure all project records are complete and organized at project closeout
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems furniture installation, commercial furniture project management, or related field
Knowledge of systems furniture and commercial interiors required
Experience with Steelcase products and environments is a plus
Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills
Experience managing budgets, schedules, and multiple priorities simultaneously
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management systems/software
College degree preferred
