ProspectBlue is seeking an Investment Operations Analyst / Associate to support portfolio reporting, investment operations, and analytics across a diversified investment platform with a Charlottesville based investment firm

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of data, investments, and operational execution. The team is looking for a detail-oriented, intellectually curious professional who wants to build efficient processes and leverage technology — including AI — to improve workflows and reporting.

Note: This is not a traditional accounting position.

What You’ll Do

• Support investment operations across public markets, private funds, and co-investments

• Coordinate capital calls, distributions, and portfolio cash management

• Maintain investment data and reporting across internal systems and external manager platforms

• Assist with portfolio performance tracking, reporting, and attribution analysis

• Prepare dashboards, investment committee materials, and internal reporting packages

• Track pipeline activity and support diligence efforts with research and analysis

• Partner with accounting, operations, and investment teams to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity

• Evaluate tools and workflows to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field — or equivalent experience

• Strong Excel and data management skills

• Intellectual curiosity around investing and business operations

• Comfort learning new systems and leveraging technology (AI experience or interest is a plus)

• Strong written communication and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Backgrounds May Include:
Investment operations, portfolio analytics, private equity support, fund administration, corporate finance, investment banking operations, or transaction advisory.
