The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the Controller by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, general ledger activities, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable, with a strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis.
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Generate, review, and present financial reports for management and other stakeholders
Prepare and/or review both manual and automated journal entries
Oversee fixed asset accounting, including accurate recording, tracking, depreciation, and reconciliation
Partner closely with the Controller and senior management on financial initiatives and ad hoc projects
Support external auditors during financial and operational audits
Assist with ASC 842 lease accounting maintenance, reporting, and compliance
Perform detailed reviews of balance sheet reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
Complete additional accounting-related duties as assigned
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and take ownership of new projects
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
CPA preferred
Public accounting experience preferred
