ProspectBlue is seeking a Controller for a client in Richmond, VA

We're partnering with a dynamic, growth-oriented manufacturing company to find an exceptional Controller who will lead North America accounting operations while providing strategic oversight for international accounting functions.

The Opportunity: This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the CFO, where you'll build scalable processes, strengthen controls, and drive financial excellence in a fast-paced environment. You'll partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Warehousing leaders to deliver insights that fuel business decisions.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and develop a talented accounting team while establishing standardized policies and procedures
• Own the end-to-end financial close process and ensure accurate, timely reporting under U.S. GAAP
• Drive global consolidation activities, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency management
• Design and implement internal controls that protect assets and support reliable financial reporting
• Optimize NetSuite and related systems to improve efficiency, automation, and scalability
• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors and ensure regulatory compliance
• Partner on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to guide strategic decisions

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA, MBA, or advanced degree preferred)
• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience with proven leadership capabilities
• 5+ years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leadership role
• Strong U.S. GAAP expertise with IFRS knowledge a plus
• ERP proficiency (NetSuite experience highly valued)
• Multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation experience
• Food processing, warehousing, or supply chain finance background is a strong plus
