ProspectBlue is seeking, on behalf of our client, a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Accountant to join their Accounting and Finance team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. This position focuses on asset management, financial reporting, and process improvement to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Asset Management
Record and verify capital asset expenditures.
Develop, prepare, maintain, and reconcile accounting and fixed asset ledgers.
Interpret contract language to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
Support ad-hoc assignments involving research, analysis, and process documentation.
Financial Analysis & Support
Prepare and analyze monthly accrual data.
Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist in preparing financial statements and related footnotes.
Support ad-hoc projects requiring analytical insight and data-driven recommendations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

CPA or CPA-eligible. (preferred)
Fixed asset accounting experience.
Financial and capital budgeting reporting/statement preparation.
Month-end and year-end close process experience.
Familiarity with Workday Financials and Ariba procurement systems.
