ProspectBlue is seeking a Senior Accountant for their client in Richmond, VA.


This role supports the Director of Corporate Accounting and plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records in a growing organization. The Senior Accountant will prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies. The position partners cross-functionally to support lease accounting activities, fixed assets, and other core accounting areas, and assists with audits, reporting, and internal controls. The Senior Accountant also contributes to process improvements, system enhancements, and the implementation of new accounting standards.

Qualifications include: a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 4–6 years of corporate or public accounting experience, strong knowledge of GAAP, advanced Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems. Lease accounting experience (ASC 842) is preferred. Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset are essential.
