Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will be an integral part of the accounting team. This role involves the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, while upholding core values such as compassion, integrity, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly financial statements in a timely and accurate manner
Create and process journal entries
Reconcile general ledger accounts
Monitor and review branch or departmental performance
Adhere to a defined monthly close schedule
Support the annual audit process
Assist with payroll processes as needed
Conduct financial analysis and research to support decision-making
Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Minimum of 3 years of general ledger accounting experience
Proficiency with accounting software such as NetSuite (or similar platforms)
Experience with GL conversions preferred
Background in healthcare or home health services is a plus
Audit experience is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Advanced Excel skills
Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across functions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
