We are currently hiring a Finance Business Partner II at our Ashland, Virginia location. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, contributing to key decisions across operational, financial, and strategic areas.
Financial Support: Provide financial guidance to accounting teams on productivity, demand planning, reporting, and metrics.
Problem-Solving: Identify business challenges and propose effective, data-driven solutions.
Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to align on key metrics, business goals, and reviews.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial data analysis to generate key insights for decision-making.
Project Contributions: Participate in corporate projects and initiatives that impact company-wide performance.
Reporting & Presentations: Develop presentations with detailed analysis to support leadership decisions.
Variance Analysis: Research and analyze variances in forecasts, budgets, and prior-year expenses to drive performance improvements.
Cross-Functional Engagement: Build strong relationships with General Managers, Operations Managers, and other cross-functional teams.
Process Improvements: Work with Operations Managers to implement process enhancements that reduce key variances.
Inventory & Margin Reporting: Generate and analyze inventory and margin reports to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities.
Monthly Accounts: Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including sales, purchases, inventory, expenses, and key metrics.
Balance Sheet & Audit Prep: Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, book adjusting entries as needed, and assist with preparing documentation for a timely, clean year-end audit.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
At least five (5) years as an accountant or auditor, OR
CPA certification with at least one (1) year of relevant experience.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
Accounting Knowledge: Thorough understanding of accounting procedures and GAAP.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and organizational abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Confidentiality: Ability to manage sensitive financial information with discretion.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively at all levels.
