ProspectBlue is proud to partner with a client in Richmond, VA, in the search for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Manager. This role is essential to ensuring accurate payroll processing and optimizing benefits programs that enhance employee well-being. With expertise in Paycom, you’ll oversee payroll operations and benefits administration while contributing to a positive and compliant employee experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll operations using Paycom, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.

  • Benefits Administration: Oversee employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and other perks.

  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Payroll Updates: Process payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, bonuses, and deductions.

  • Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll-related accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

  • Employee Support: Serve as the primary contact for payroll and benefits inquiries, delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll and benefits integration.

  • Reporting & Insights: Generate payroll reports and provide key insights to support audits, financial planning, and compliance checks.

  • Compliance & Education: Stay up to date on payroll laws, tax regulations, and best practices. Lead open enrollment processes and support employee education on benefits offerings.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously enhance payroll and benefits processes by leveraging Paycom features and automation.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • Experience: At least 3+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience, with Paycom expertise strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of payroll processing, tax regulations, and benefits compliance.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail.

  • Organizational Skills: Proven organizational and time-management capabilities.

  • Confidentiality: Ability to manage sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with employees and stakeholders.
