ProspectBlue is partnering with a client here in Richmond who is searching for a Director of Marketing to lead their marketing efforts.

Location: Richmond, VA (Preferred); Open to candidates in NOVA and Hampton Roads

We are seeking a dynamic marketing leader with experience in the financial services industry to join our executive team. Depending on the candidate’s background, this role could be hired at the Director, VP, or SVP level.

The ideal candidate will bring a strategic, customer-focused approach to marketing and business development, with a focus on driving growth and enhancing customer experience. This role is external-facing and requires a leader who can think creatively, build and manage relationships, and bring new energy to our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives that support business development and drive customer engagement.
• Evaluate bank product offerings and provide recommendations, including an informed perspective on banking technologies (e.g., Zelle) and whether they align with business goals.
• Manage and optimize the company’s CRM system to enhance customer experience and retention.
• Work cross-functionally with leadership to align marketing efforts with sales and customer growth strategies.
• Operate within a lean marketing budget, with a focus on maximizing impact without relying heavily on advertising spend.
• Bring innovative, customer-centric ideas to the table, prioritizing growth, loyalty, and brand differentiation.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of bank products and technology solutions.
• A track record of successful marketing strategy and execution, ideally with experience in financial services, banking, or related industries.
• Strong business development acumen and ability to assess market opportunities.
• Experience managing customer experience, CRM systems, and digital marketing channels.
• Career maturity with demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to contribute to executive-level strategy.
• Willingness and excitement to build and grow within a dynamic environment.

Preferred Location:

While Richmond, VA is the preferred location, we are open to considering candidates based in Northern Virginia (NOVA) or Hampton Roads.
