P3+Uplift is assisting a Des Moines, IA based client in their search for a Mid-Level Network/Systems Administrator. This is a hybrid position. Two days a week in the office will be required. Our client is a medium sized business with a focus on specialty insurance for private and public consulting firms across the United States and Europe. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a handful of years' experience in IT Systems, Networking and Support. The ideal candidate will enjoy serving the company through collaboration. You will report to the Manager of IT Operations and Infrastructure.

Daily you will work closely with other departments including application development and technology innovation.  This is not a position where you are fighting fires daily.  Beyond ensuring systems, networks and IT operations run business as usual our client is looking for someone with a proactive approach to ensuring the department’s success.

Responsibilities:
Monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots network hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Assists in network configuration and upgrades, including patching and firmware updates.
Support network security by implementing and monitoring access controls.
Collaborate with technology innovation to optimize network performance.
Participates DR Disaster Recovery and BCP Business Continuity planning.
Ensure basic server tasks including user account provisioning and permission changes are completed.
Works efficiently with outside service partners and vendors on an as needed basis.
Take part in asset inventory.
Participate in other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
4+ years' experience working in IT Support, Systems and Network Administration.
Hands on experience with Microsoft Applications.
2 years' experience working with Cisco switches, VPN, and Firewalls.
Understanding of LAN/WAN network protocols.
Experience monitoring networks, logging alerts and solid documentation skills.
Experience resolving network performance and connection issues including load balancing.
Ability to troubleshoot user and systems issues and manage time effectively.
Knowledge of at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Compensation & Benefits:
Pay Range $82,000 - $95,000
10% Annual Bonus
401K Match up to 9%
