P3+Uplift is assisting a mid-sized Des Moines, Iowa area client in their search for an experienced Software Engineer. The ideal candidate will be viewed as a technical guide to others teaching ideal software development practices while designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions.  Candidates will need to share a commitment to quality as our client ensures their applications will perform and scale. This is a full-time opportunity with a hybrid work schedule. Our client allows for two work from home days per week.  The team composition and culture is small yet energetic and collaborative. The right match is someone who understands Agile software development and can pair with others as needed and also own project work.  The salary range for Sr. and Lead Software Engineers for this client is between $115,000 and $145,000 along with a bonus, 10 paid holidays and 20 days of PTO.  Our client is not accepting applications for candidates requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and successful implementation of software solutions for members one hundred thousand plus clients.
• Collaborate with both technical and functional stakeholders daily.
  Work to achieve quality software solutions in several aspects including design, development and support.
• Manage your own work in a fast-paced environment. 
  Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, backlog refinements, demos and retrospectives.
• Guide and assist less experienced developers in software development, code reviews and architecture design.
• Build and automate areas of DevOps and CI/CD including Infrastructure as Code.
• Update and learn new cloud services where best fit.

Qualifications:

• Lead Engineers should have a B.S. Degree from an accredited College or University in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or MIS.
• A minimum of seven years of Software Development experience will be required for this position.
• At least three years' experience using Java or C# programming languages.
• SQL database experience and troubleshooting is required.
• Must have strong attention to detail and advanced communication skills.
