The ideal candidate will have experience with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD, a mechanical mindset, and an interest in learning how mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems work together. This is an entry-level to junior-level opportunity for someone looking to develop their drafting and design skills, contribute to new product development, and grow within an established machine-building company.
Create and detail mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Develop and modify 2D drawings and 3D models for CNC machines, machining centers, and related automation systems.
Assist with the design and documentation of mechanical assemblies, machine layouts, and customer-specific configurations.
Revise existing drawings and assemblies to reflect design changes, engineering improvements, and updated specifications.
Create detailed engineering drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing information.
Develop, maintain, and update accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) through Product Data Management (PDM) and the company's ERP system.
Maintain technical documentation, including standard operating procedures, technical specifications, part numbers, and configuration sheets.
Ensure engineering drawings, documentation, and product records are accurate, organized, and up to date.
