About the Role

Pinnacle Partners is recruiting for a Finance Director for a direct-hire opportunity in Carmel, Indiana. This is a newly created, fully onsite leadership position responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial performance, and oversight of key finance and business office functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to leadership and the Board
• Directly supervise the AP Accountant and monitor accounts receivable, collections, and overall financial performance
• Monitor key financial indicators, including cash flow, case costing, payor mix, and profitability
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial systems and reporting
• Oversee IT strategy and systems to ensure alignment with clinical and operational needs
• Ensure compliance across applicable areas
• Work with external advisors, consultants, and service providers
• Build strong relationships with physicians, payors, vendors, and staff
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance and business office functions
• Partner with clinical and operational leadership to improve processes and efficiencies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of experience with proven management experience
• Strong knowledge of financial management and analysis, general ledger, journal entries, and budgeting
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
• Experience with accounting software; QuickBooks experience preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Polished, professional, assertive, and comfortable working with physicians and Board members
• Stable work history

Preferred:

• Healthcare industry experience
• QuickBooks experience
• Experience with practice management and billing systems
