Data Center Copper Cabling Technician
Pay: $23–$25/hr | Location: Carrollton, TX

Overview:
We're hiring copper cabling technicians to support ongoing data center infrastructure work for an end-user (enterprise data center) environment. This role focuses on structured copper cabling.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret patch schedules to execute cross-connects accurately
• Install patch cords and route/dress cabling neatly per industry standards
• Terminate RJ45 connectors to build custom patch cords on-site
• Label all cabling and ports clearly and consistently
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of moves, adds, and changes
• Work within a live end-user data center environment, following site protocols
• Be open to working overtime as needed

Requirements:

• Prior experience with copper/structured cabling (data center or enterprise environment preferred)
• Proficient in RJ45 termination and custom patch cord assembly
• Comfortable reading and following patch/cross-connect schedules
• Strong attention to detail for labeling and documentation
• Valid, unexpired driver's license required
• Reliable transportation — this is a home-to-job/job-to-home role; contractors must use their own vehicle (a company truck is provided once converted to full-time)
• Hardworking, coachable, and dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Must pass a criminal background check and a drug screen
