Job Description

Sr Test Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX – HYBRID -
The Senior Test Engineer ensures the quality, security, and performance of critical Treasury Management systems. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in the financial and accounting domain. The ideal candidate takes end-to-end (E2E) ownership of system quality, specializing in functional, domain-driven, and structured manual testing methodologies.
Responsibilities:

  • Review functional and non-functional specifications to guarantee absolute test coverage.
  • Map complex financial requirements to test cases within qTest to establish rigorous audit trails.
  • Create highly detailed test cases covering critical workflows.
  • Design complex, E2E test scenarios to validate intricate financial business logic and user journeys.
  • Structure test assets logically within qTest to drive optimized, efficient execution cycles.
  • Conduct rigorous manual verification and validation based on designed test scripts.
  • Document and store detailed execution results, system logs, and evidentiary artifacts.
  • Conduct thorough regression testing cycles following code deployments to protect existing system features.
  • Identify, triage, log, and track system defects in Jira with explicit descriptions, screenshots, and replication steps.
  • Link Jira defects directly to qTest test cases to maintain full compliance and a transparent audit history.
  • Design and execute tests focused on Continuity Plans and multi-system integrations.
  • Partner closely with configurators and super users to prioritize, triage, and rapidly resolve complex software defects.
  • Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles with business stakeholders to confirm system readiness.
  • Support all phases of the STLC, including SIT, system, regression, and UAT.
  • Prepare dashboards to report test status periodically, attach evidence of test execution, and log defects.
  • Identify and shortlist test cases suitable for automation.
  • Track and analyze quantitative testing data to uncover underlying quality trends and system weaknesses.
  • Author clear, concise, and professional test documentation, test summaries, and defect reports.
  • Communicate complex technical issues effectively across development, business, and executive teams.
  • Must be able to work closely with the developers and test lead to help with executing testing related to Virtualization, Test Automation and Performance Engineering on a regular on-going basis.
  • Should have working knowledge of test automation using Playwright and its associated framework.
  • Must work closely with the Testing Enablement F&A Test Lead to identify and foster creation and usage of testing artifacts for various phases of testing and have them ready prior to testing cycles. Early identification of various opportunities is key.
  • Take information from the Testing Strategy and use that as a base for driving all testing needs.
  • Ensure that the Testing Strategy is referenced for the updated Test Plan, Environment Strategy, Code management strategy and testing utilization catered to F&A applications.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on knowledge of tier-one treasury management systems, specifically GTreasury or Ripple Treasury.
  • Practical expertise verifying bank connectivity and Oracle PeopleSoft or on-premise ERP solutions.
  • Foundational exposure to test automation concepts or frameworks to help transition manual workflows in the future.
  • Strong knowledge of Testing frameworks and tools and proficiency in one programming scripting language. Knowledge in Type Script, Java, Python a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and also well versed with the CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge on GitLab CI a plus.
  • Strong knowledge on testing tools like qTest, JIRA and any service virtualization tools is a must.
  • Strong knowledge on test automation and Performance Testing tools is a must. Tools like Playwright, Junit, TestNG, Test Complete, NeoLoad/JMeter a must.
  • Must be able to work from the corporate office, downtown Dallas, on the schedule that is defined by the program.
  • Must be flexible in order to work overtime if at all required to support team activities.
