Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Solution Architect to provide technical leadership in designing and implementing advanced, data-driven solutions. This role is responsible for defining and evolving scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms that support the organization’s next generation of technology initiatives. The ideal candidate collaborates closely with technology leadership, development teams, and product stakeholders to design robust architectures that enable data-centric solutions and analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of a centralized “Data Hub” infrastructure and its integrations with other systems.
Manage and coordinate in-house and external resources for data-focused projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
Collaborate with technology and business leaders to develop and communicate a data-driven vision and supporting documentation.
Mentor and coach technical teams on data architecture, design, and delivery best practices.
Define and advocate cloud-based data strategy, including architecture for data sources, analytics platforms, and future capabilities (e.g., AI).
Drive the development of internal and external tools, platforms, and systems supporting data initiatives.
Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and architectures for data platform development.
Provide architecture guidance and governance across distributed development teams, including internal and third-party contributors.
Optimize data infrastructure for performance, cost, and scalability.
Lead the design, development, integration, and troubleshooting of data-centric applications.
Translate product requirements into data-focused specifications for development teams.
Perform system and software design analysis, risk assessments, and metric reporting from a data-centric perspective.
Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends to inform architecture decisions and product evolution.
Anticipate future system needs and proactively identify solutions that support advanced analytics and data-driven initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
10+ years of hands-on experience in cloud and/or data solution development (Azure or AWS preferred).
Minimum 3 years in a solution architect or technical leadership role on large-scale software development projects, preferably SaaS.
Experience with cloud-centric deployments, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, and data platform development.
Hands-on experience with Java and modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React).
Exposure to multiple technologies and processing environments, including hybrid cloud strategies.
Proven track record of delivering enterprise software solutions with robust data and analytics capabilities.
Preferred / Additional Experience
Experience developing data-centric systems leveraging data mining, machine learning, or statistical methods.
Knowledge of Progressive Web Applications or advanced analytics platforms.
Experience deploying solutions in hybrid cloud environments and designing services for both on-prem and cloud usage.
Experience coordinating geographically distributed teams.
