Job Description

Our client, a leading national bank, is seeking an experienced Collections Representative to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong collections background within a banking or financial institution, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage delinquent consumer accounts in a call center environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to contact customers with delinquent accounts, ensuring timely and effective resolution of past-due balances.
  • Compute, classify, and record financial data related to transactions, valuations, and collections activity.
  • Maintain detailed account documentation in the company’s CRM and collections software systems.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics such as recovery rate, call quality, and right-party contact rate.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies, update payment records, and ensure compliance with bank policies.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and professionalism while maintaining firm negotiation practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong collections background in a banking or financial services environment.
  • 2+ years of call center experience, handling both inbound and outbound calls.
  • 2+ years of consumer debt collections experience with delinquent account management.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed performance metrics and recovery goals.
