Job Description

PRG has partnered with a rapidly growing Internet Service Provider (ISP) supporting the buildout of a new fiber network across the region. We are seeking technically savvy Construction Technicians to oversee and coordinate multiple field crews, ensuring all construction and installation activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project standards.

Each Construction Technician will manage three separate OSP crews, driving productivity, safety, and quality across all assigned work zones.  We currently have on open position for a bilingual Construction Technician (fluent in English and Spanish).

 Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site coordination for fiber optic cabling, installation, modification, and splicing activities.
• Supervise and support three active OSP construction crews to ensure full operational efficiency.
• Track and report daily fiber installation footages and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
• Verify permits, PPE, and compliance with company safety standards prior to work commencement.
• Conduct job site reviews to determine optimal installation practices and identify punch list items in real time.
• Act as the primary liaison between the client, field crews, and management team.
• Monitor and address crew performance issues, escalating or correcting as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Related construction experience in the Telecom or Fiber industry (outside plant) strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with cable placement, conduit installation, or fiber construction is a plus.
• Proven team leadership or crew management experience.
• OSP experience is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license with a clean and safe driving record.
• Background and DMV checks are required for employment consideration.
