Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop the security framework and architecture and improve the protection of sensitive data through advanced security measures for Federal Organization that meets federal laws and standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Develop the security framework and architecture and ensure full compliance with data protection laws and industry standards, which reduces the risk of legal penalties.
  • Research reputable vendors and their offerings in AI-driven threat detection, anomaly detection, and behavior analytics; establish an AI-enabled security tool implementation plan.
  • Develop and communicate clear policies regarding data handling, storage, and access in the cloud; increase awareness and adherence to data security best practices among staff.
  • Create implementation plans with service area stakeholders to roll out new functionality that addresses ZTA pillar function requirements.
  • Identify dependencies with other organizations like NIH OCIO and CIT and work with those groups to align NLM ZTA implementation with their roadmap.
  • Identify new technologies necessary to address ZTA requirements that cannot be addressed using existing capabilities and facilitate an evaluation.
  • Create implementation plans with service area stakeholders to integrate new technologies into the NLM environment.
  • Track ZTA implementation progress within service areas to ensure the project can complete and reach the Advanced Maturity level within the defined timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity with a recent focus in security engineering.
  • Experience developing ZTA strategies for Federal customers.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cloud security architecture, administration, and development.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain complex Splunk dashboards that meet the needs of various stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, including threat modeling, risk assessment, and incident response.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
