Job Description

Summary
Performs the planning, design and analysis of facility (building) HVAC and plumbing
engineering projects.
Essential Duties

  • Responsible for the design, specifications, calculation, sizing and selection of

HVAC, Plumbing and basic Fire Protection systems.

  • Selection of AHUs, RTUs, pumps, and ceiling fixtures.
  • Develops and authors project specifications.
  • Calculates design cost, responsible for project design budgets.
  • Research code, design and detailed project specific requirements to ensure

systems conform to engineering design and client specifications.

  • Communicates directly with clients and contractors and represent Infinity MEP

Consultant in a professional manner.

  • Perform site surveys at existing facilities to monitor quality control of work

performed by others.

  • Proposes methods for improving performance for development, standardization,

and quality control.

  • Use AutoCAD and BIM/Revit to produce drawings for projects.
  • Coordinate all HVAC, plumbing and fire protections systems with electrical

engineers, architects, structural engineers, and civil engineers.

  • LEED documentation for energy, air quality, thermal comfort and refrigeration

management.

  • Use of effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Other duties assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises and mentors’ junior personnel in the execution of projects.
Experience
8 - 10 years related experience
Education
BS in Architectural Engineering – Mechanical Option or Mechanical Engineering or
equivalent.
Qualifications
Training with Autodesk Revit and Autodesk AutoCAD is REQUIRED.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential
duty satisfactorily.
Licenses/Registrations
Professional Engineer (PE) Required and LEED AP Certification preferred.
