Quality Control Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Control Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts and drive continuous improvement across production operations. In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing inspection procedures, supervising QC teams, and ensuring that all products and processes meet internal specifications and industry regulations. Your ability to lead audits, manage supplier quality, and work cross-functionally with engineering and operations will be key to maintaining excellence across the board.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and enforce quality assurance protocols, ensuring alignment with applicable regulatory standards and internal quality systems.
  • Conduct quality reviews across departments to uncover root causes, implement corrective measures, and enhance compliance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to uphold product integrity and performance.
  • Manage and monitor quality procedures, including internal inspections and external supplier evaluations, to meet compliance requirements.
  • Maintain supplier qualifications and support external audit activities to ensure adherence to company and industry expectations.
  • Apply quality methodologies such as QRQC, FMEA, and risk assessments to identify improvements and minimize defects.
  • Respond to non-conformance issues by initiating and following through on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide detailed reports and updates to leadership, support customer quality requests, and contribute to overall operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering (or similar technical field) OR a minimum of ten years of experience in quality control or a manufacturing setting.
  • Willingness and ability to complete an initial two-month training assignment in Shenzhen, China.
  • Valid passport with at least 8 months before expiration and eligibility to obtain a Chinese visa.
  • Mandarin language skills are strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of quality systems and their application in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to collaborate across teams and levels.
  • Proficiency in business software, including spreadsheets, word processing, inventory, and order management tools.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Requires close visual attention for inspections and reports.
