What you will do:
Assess financial and operational results to provide management with insights for effective planning and organizational audits
Complete month-end journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reports, including budget/forecast to actual comparisons and other financial metrics within tight deadlines
Analyze and interpret actual performance against plans, explain key variances, and recommend actions
Track and report weekly key performance indicators, including direct labor, indirect labor, and overhead analysis
Prepare the division’s Business Plan (budget) and quarterly forecasts
Focus heavily on managing continuous improvement goals, projects, activities, and performance
Assist in completing, reviewing, and auditing annual audit and tax packages
Cross-train, audit, and review accounting functions with other staff in the accounting department
Handle confidential information regularly
What you will need to be successful:
Must have a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting, with at least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
Capable of analyzing and planning capital tooling projects
Experience working within a corporate environment
Proficient in using computer software programs, including the Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems
Skilled in developing, maintaining, and manipulating complex spreadsheets
Experience with AS400-based computer systems and Hyperion and/or database administration is preferred
