Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team in Cedar Falls. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. This position will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including, but not limited to, general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.

What you will do:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Perform bank reconciliations
Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
Support internal and external audits
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
What you will need to be successful:
Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
