Positions are available in the following locations: Columbus, NE, and West Point, NE.
Responsibilities:
Perform engine machining operations, including cylinder boring, honing, decking, and line boring, according to established procedures and specifications
Determine necessary repairs or modifications by inspecting, measuring, and evaluating engine components
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble engines, ensuring all components are in the proper working order
Utilize precision tools and equipment to measure and ensure parts meet performance and quality standards accurately
Collaborate with team members
Troubleshoot engine issues and develop effective solutions
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and technologies to improve skills and knowledge continuously
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in automotive mechanics is preferred
Experience working as an engine machinist or in a related field
Strong understanding of gas and/or diesel engines is preferred
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy in all tasks
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Training Schedule:
Train for approximately 6 months in order to learn the machinist job and gain experience
After training is complete, you will earn a commission on your projects in addition to your hourly pay
