Electrical AutoCAD Drafter

Location: Sterling Heights, MI | Fully on-site
Employment Type: Six-month contract-to-hire

We’re seeking an Electrical AutoCAD Drafter to create and update drawings for industrial control panels. The initial assignment involves adapting international electrical drawings for U.S. applications, revising AutoCAD files or recreating drawings from PDFs, and preparing documentation for panel manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Create and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.

• Prepare bills of materials and accurate manufacturing drawing packages.

• Coordinate with the project manager and answer panel shop design questions.

• Review drawings for accuracy and applicable electrical requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience drafting industrial electrical systems or control panels.

• Ability to read electrical schematics and understand control panel components.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• EPLAN and UL 508A experience are preferred.

• Approximately three years of relevant experience is preferred; a degree is not required.

This position is fully on-site with no travel expected. Overtime may be needed based on project deadlines.
