Job Description

We're looking for a Product Owner with a passion for data to help drive the delivery of data-focused products and analytics solutions. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and data teams to prioritize initiatives, define requirements, and ensure high-value solutions are delivered in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog for data and reporting initiatives.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories and detailed acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with business leaders, data engineers, developers, and analysts to define product requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the development team, providing business context and clarifying requirements throughout the sprint.
  • Validate completed work through user acceptance testing and ensure solutions meet business objectives.
  • Leverage SQL to analyze data, validate requirements, investigate issues, and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced reporting capabilities.
  • Balance competing priorities while ensuring the team is focused on delivering the highest business value.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar Agile product role.
  • Experience managing product backlogs and working within Scrum or Agile development teams.
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to query, analyze, and validate data.
  • Experience working on data platforms, reporting, analytics, or business intelligence initiatives.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable development stories.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, data engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • CSPO or other Agile certifications are a plus.

  • Data Warehousing or Data Lake environments
  • Business Intelligence and reporting platforms
  • Azure, AWS, or cloud-based data platforms
  • Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools
  • Experience working with APIs and data integrations
