Description: Our client, a well-established leader in the recovery, reclamation, and lifecycle management of refrigerants and specialty gases, is seeking a full-time Field Service Technician to support the HVAC and specialty gas industries. This is a great opportunity for a personable, hands-on individual who enjoys working in the field for a company that values its employees and offers strong growth potential as the local market expands. The role covers a service radius near Kansas City, MO, with occasional travel required for larger projects.
Responsibilities/skills:
Drive a company-provided truck to job sites daily to perform reclamation and recovery services for refrigerant and other specialty gases
Deliver excellent customer service while identifying opportunities for additional service, gas buy-back, and refrigerant spot buy sales to meet territory targets
Submit daily work orders and weekly expense reports in a timely manner
Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment (including operating an electric pallet jack) in accordance with safety and maintenance standards
Follow all safety protocols and participate in a random drug testing program
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; 1-3 years of related mechanical or industry experience preferred
Valid state-issued driver's license, minimum age 21, with a clean driving record; non-CDL medical card or Class C CDL with HazMat Endorsement required (CDL preferred and pays more)
EPA Universal Certification preferred, or ability to obtain within 14 days of hire
Strong written and verbal communication skills, computer proficiency, and comfort learning proprietary scheduling/work order software
Mechanically inclined, organized, and safety-focused with flexibility for occasional overtime
