Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Bad Axe, MI

We're seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support equipment launches, manufacturing projects, and continuous improvement initiatives in a high-volume automotive environment. This role combines hands-on manufacturing engineering with project coordination to ensure successful equipment transfers and production launches.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment launches and manufacturing projects.
• Track project timelines, documentation, and open issues.
• Create and maintain work instructions, plant layouts, and engineering documentation.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to support production and launch activities.
• Drive process improvements that increase safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Automotive or high-volume manufacturing experience.
• Strong CAD skills and the ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Experience with manufacturing launches, project coordination, or program management.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge and strong Excel skills.

Preferred: Stamping or press experience, Six Sigma, PLC exposure, and automated manufacturing experience.
