Position Overview
This role is responsible for leading daily operations within a distribution environment, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and team engagement. The position focuses on developing team members, optimizing processes, and driving performance against operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interview, train, and develop team members while maintaining appropriate staffing levels to meet operational demands

  • Identify and develop high-potential employees, building a pipeline for future leadership opportunities

  • Foster strong working relationships with team members and labor representatives, where applicable, to support engagement and retention

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team environment that values diverse perspectives

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards

  • Establish and monitor performance metrics related to productivity, efficiency, and quality within assigned areas

  • Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for performance improvement

  • Train, coach, and lead teams to achieve goals across safety, quality, service, and cost

  • Oversee safe operation of equipment used for material movement and storage

  • Address team member concerns, conduct investigations, and partner with leadership and HR on appropriate resolutions

  • Monitor individual and team performance; provide coaching, retraining, and corrective action as needed

  • Continuously evaluate operational processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

  • Manage administrative responsibilities related to production, shipping, and quality performance

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a distribution, logistics, or operations environment

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with conflict resolution and performance management
