Job Description
Description: Electrical Detailer to produce detailed construction drawings and installation layouts for commercial and industrial electrical projects. This role supports project teams by translating design intent into accurate, buildable electrical drawings.
Responsibilities/skills:
Create detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and installation plans using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Develop conduit routing, cable tray layouts, panel schedules, and equipment placement drawings.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and BIM coordinators to ensure constructability.
Revise drawings based on project updates, coordination meetings, and field feedback.
Assist with preparing shop drawings and submittal packages.
Support prefabrication efforts by creating spool drawings and installation details.
Maintain drawing standards and organized project documentation.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in drafting, engineering technology, or related field preferred.
2+ years of drafting or detailing experience in electrical construction or MEP environments.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is preferred.
Knowledge of electrical construction methods, conduit layouts, and electrical systems.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple drawing revisions.
Ability to work collaboratively with project and field teams.
