Job Description
Description: BIM Coordinator to support coordination and modeling efforts across complex electrical construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure accurate digital models that support successful project delivery.
Responsibilities/skills:
Develop, manage, and maintain electrical BIM models using Revit, Navisworks, and related coordination tools.
Coordinate electrical systems with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines to resolve conflicts and clashes.
Participate in BIM coordination meetings with general contractors, design teams, and trade partners.
Produce coordinated construction drawings, layout plans, and installation details from BIM models.
Support field teams with model-based layout, installation sequencing, and constructability reviews.
Maintain BIM standards, model quality, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist in model-based quantity takeoffs and prefabrication planning where applicable.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, construction management, or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in BIM coordination within electrical construction or MEP environments.
Strong experience with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination workflows.
Understanding of electrical systems, conduit routing, cable tray systems, and electrical equipment layouts.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across project teams.
